How about the Payment ?

Odesk offers two types of payment rates.

1) Hourly Rate : We can fix an hourly rate where payment is guaranteed by Odesk. If we choose hourly rate, we need to download the Odesk work diary application and log into that application while doing tasks. All the work we do is recorded in that Team Diary. Work week is calculated from Monday to Sunday. After the buyer verifies our work hours, we get paid. Payment is made on every Wednesday depending on our work hours.

2) Fixed Price : Fixed price is for the whole task. Once we complete the task, we are paid. Odesk does not guarantee the payment for fixed price tasks. However we can give a negative rating for the buyer if we do not get paid. We can also ask for an upfront payment before accepting the task.

In that case your site will display ads which has the highest value. In both cases you are benefited. The payment is made on monthly basis and the default minimum check amount is $100. However you can set the minimum payout as low as $5.

3) Yahoo Publisher Network:

This program is still running in Beta version. It is still not available for international users and also takes time to review your application. However if your account is approved, then YPN is a very good program.

Ways to increase traffic to your site:

After your account is approved in Google Adsense or any other Ad program, the next step is to see that your website gets more viewers and clicks. You cannot click on your own ads and you cannot ask your friends to click on the ads as that clicks can count to 50 -100 only. However, if you want a regular income, you have to make sure that you have genuine visitors and genuine clicks. For that you have to select a good topic that will create interest in viewers and also get clicks.

To increase traffic to your website and to increase your page rank and page views

1) More Content: More content will attract more traffic. So make sure that your website or blog has decent amount of related content. This will also help in increasing your page rank and page views from the search engines.
